Investigation and study on the development of tourism attraction areas in line with the economic development of the city of Royan

Ecotourism is a type of nature-based tourism that emphasizes interaction with the natural environment. The development of the tourism industry and economic growth are closely related to each other, so much so that some believe that tourism, as a driving force for economic development, has been at the forefront of countries’ sources of income generation. For this reason, it has been considered one of the most effective issues in societies today due to the complexities that exist in this process, and it can be said that many political, economic, and cultural issues are related to this issue; therefore, the purpose of this research study was to investigate and study the development of tourism attraction areas in line with economic development in the city of Royan.
In this study, the city of Royan was purposefully selected as a case study and with the help of a descriptive analytical method, the opinions of citizens and tourists were collected using a questionnaire and the relationships between the research variables were tested using SPSS software and a correlation coefficient test. Finally, with the help of the opinions of citizens and tourists, while emphasizing the impact of tourism industry development on urban economic development, solutions such as those experienced in the city of Royan are proposed.
